Emergency Disaster Assistance
Are you prepared?
Are you prepared for a natural disaster? Emergency preparedness simplifies decision making helps reduce fear, stress, and anxiety in the event of a natural disaster.
- Make an emergency plan
- Build or restock your emergency preparedness kit, including a flashlight, batteries, cash, and first aid supplies.
- Familiarize yourself with local emergency plans.
- Turn on your TV/radio. You’ll get the latest weather updates and emergency instructions.
- Know where to go. If you are ordered to evacuate, know the route to take and have plan of where you will go.
- Check-in with your friends and family.
- Keep your car fueled, in good condition, and stocked with emergency supplies and a change of clothes.
Are you affected?
If you are affected (i.e., evacuated or suffered loss of property) by a natural disaster such as wildfires, floods, earthquakes…
- Notify your command. If you are evacuated, provide a current location
- Contact the nearest Family Readiness Center for resources and financial assistance
- Contact your insurance provider is you have been displaced or have damaged/lost property
- Apply online for FEMA assistance or Apply/check your status by phone at 1-800-621-3362.
